S4 schreibt englische Kinderbücher

Zwei Englischkurse des 4. Semesters hatten sich mehrheitlich entschieden, englische Kinderbücher zu schreiben. Nun kann man so etwas natürlich nicht ‘off scratch‘; so etwas bedarf gründlicher Vorbereitung. Zunächst einmal besorgten wir uns aus Bibliotheken und so manchem privaten Fundus einen großen Berg bereits veröffentlichter, ‚echter‘ englischer Kinderbücher. Die wurden mit großem Vergnügen gelesen, befühlt, untereinander ausgetauscht, sich gegenseitig erzählt – zum Zwecke der Analyse und Kategorisierung. Wir waren auf der Suche nach Antworten zu folgenden Fragen: Wer oder was ist der Protagonist in dem jeweiligen Kinderbuch? Welches Problem hat er? Wie löst er das Problem? Für welche Altersgruppe ist das Buch geschrieben? Welche Besonderheiten weist das Layout auf? Die Antworten wurden stichwortartig in einer Tabelle festgehalten. Damit hatten wir Kriterien erstellt für die eigene Produktion eines Kinderbuches einerseits und für die Bewertung andererseits.

Während der Schreibphase, die im Wesentlichen Zuhause stattfand, beschäftigten wir uns im Unterricht mit anderen Aspekten von ‘Children’s Literature‘, z.B. Märchen und ihre entwicklungspsychologische Bedeutung für Kinder. Wir lasen das Grimmsche Märchen ‘Little Red Ridinghood‘ sowie Auszüge aus Erik H. Eriksons ‘Identity and the Life Cycle‘ und Bruno Bettelheims ’The Uses of Enchantment‘.

Vor den Osterferien war Abgabetermin für die selbstgeschriebenen Kinderbücher. Es waren 44 Unikate entstanden! Sie erzählten alle eine andere Geschichte, hatten unterschiedliche Formate, sehr individuelle Illustrationen, einige enthielten haptische Elemente, z.B. Fell zum Anfassen, in den meisten war der Text am PC geschrieben, in einigen per Hand – allen gemeinsam war jedoch eine große Liebe zum Detail. Als Anerkennung gab es für alle Schülerinnen und Schüler ein ‘Certificate of Achievement‘.

Das Kinderbuch, das in allen 3 Kategorien (Inhalt, Sprache, Layout) am besten abgeschnitten hat:

Shortstory

My First Date

„You are talking too much, Jake. I think it’s better for you to sit next to … Gina,“ said my teacher Mrs Gringe and made me feel like cloud seven. The butterflies deep inside of me were dancing and my heart made bump-bump-bump. My heart bumped as fast as I can talk. And I can talk reeaallyy fast! Jake took his Biology-stuff and went to the empty place next to me. My best friend Elly whispered „good luck, Gina,“ and smiled at me. Jake sat down and I asked him for a pencil. He opened his pencil-case and looked for a pencil: „No, sry, I just got … a rubber and … a green pencil. Is a green one all right?“ He looked at me and I said: „Sure, absolutely!“ We both smiled and for the rest of the day I felt really good.

But the next day, in the morning, this feeling stopped really quickly. Because on my way to school I saw him with another girl. I can’t describe the feelings I had. When she said goodbye to him she shouted: „Attention with the girls!“ and laughed. She was really beautiful, and I was in a very bad mood. „Why?“, I asked myself, „Why is he in love with her and not with me?“ Depressed I walked to the tube.

Two days after that, during a break, Jake came to me and we went 3 steps 2gether, then he asked me – yes, for real – for a date! „What!“ My first reaction was surprise. „It’s ok if you don’t want to. If you’re not sure, think about it,“ he answered, his eyes wide open and dark blue. „No, of course, I’d like to have a date with you, but …“ I looked a bit scared at him, „What about your girlfriend?“ He looked at me and after one minute of silence I explained: „The blond girl with the red school bag. I saw you together on Wednesday morning before school.“ Suddenly he laughed out loudly, and now he was the one to explain: „Oh! That was just my cousin. What a joke!“ Inside me a voice whispered quietly: Jake, Jake loves Gina. Gina and Jake, Jake and Gina“! We laughed together and I said. „How stupid of me! What about Saturday?“ We shared a meeting point. Then I went to my friend Elly and told her everything! The date was really great. We went for a walk in the park and after that we went to the roller coaster. We are a couple now. I’m very happy.

The boy 1.0 program

The boy 1.0 program is getting on my nerves because it’s boring and it’s getting slow. In spite of that I don’t want to upgrade it because all my information are on this program. Also I know the disadvantages of it and know what to do when there are problems. I’m the only person who knows everything about it and can work whith it. All other programs have other problems, too and so, I will stay with this program.

The program BoyFriend

Could you please help me. I’ve got a problem with the latest version of BoyFriend 2.0. My primary application BoyFriend 1.0 is still there and it seems as if i have not enough cache to upgrate the latest application Friends 2.5.It has always conflicts with the version BoyFriend 2.0.I purged my cache, but the problem between BoyFriend 2.0 and Friends 2.5 is still there. I think of diminishing the BoyFriend 2.0 and to install the BoyFriend 3.0 program, but i would have a big problem with the obscure language of this version. Moreover the Boyfriend 3.0-version is able to monitore all the system activities, if i launch it. So i condure that I’ll upgrade to Friends 2.5 only and remove all versions of BoyFriend.

bugs of my boyfriend

My current version boyfriend 2.0 is so outdated and boring that I think about an upgrade. The thing is that I only bought it because a friend of mine had the same one and I wanted to make her jealous. Another reason why I changed from version 1.0 to 2.0 was that my friend always idealized it and talked about the plug-ins like washthedishes9.3 and cleaningthewc7.5. But as I realized that all these plug-ins don`t work on my computer I decided that we don`t fit together. It was so terrible that it was always on the desktop so I never had the chance to have fun with other programs.I don`t feel like keeping it anymore, but I`m undecided because the plug-in sexin thekitchen5.0 works so well. I have to think over it once again.

My Problems with Boyfriend 5.0

Four month ago I bought the program Boyfriend 5.0 because Boyfriend 4.0 had too many faults. But now I have the same problems with my new progam. It doesn’t work like I want it to and it always shuts down the whole system. My program is almost like Casanova 1.5, it´s linked with the program Slutty -Girls 6.0. I can’t accept that. I think I have to upgrade my programm. But maybe I could buy the programm Boyfriend 6.0. Who knows…?

My Boyfriend

I have big problems with boyfriend 6.0 and I don’t know what I can do. It just isn’t connectable with other programs. It has a problem with cooperating with boyfriend 5.0. And especially even so I use boyfriend 6.0 for most operations but sometimes I still use my old program boyfriend 5.0 for more important things. But boyfriend 6.0 makes the connection to boyfriend 5.0 impossible by shutting down the whole system as soon as I click on the boyfriend 5.0 program. I have the same problem with boyfriend 3.0 and 2.0. I’m really desperate and I’m thinking of uninstalling boyfriend 5.0. I really like to work it, but boyfriend 6.0 is more important for me. I hope that my problem can be solved by downloading new upgrades which make it possible for both programs to run.

Boyfriend 7.0

My Boyfriend 7.0 is very dificult to handle.On the one hand it is very easy to control it, but on the other hand it is dificult because it needs something to do all the time. You must download a lot of addons and they must always be the latest version such as Football 3.2, Beachgirls 6.4, Drinkingbar 5.3 or Car 6.3….. . But you have to change the addon every 20 minutes and you can’t open two programs at the same time or Boyfriend 7.0 has an error. I think Boyfriend 7.0 has absoluteley more disadvantages than any other software. You must take care of Boyfriend 7.0 and it causes many problems. You have to upgrade it every six months or it will uninstall itself. At last i can say, that you can’t really do anything with Boyfriend 7.0, the programis very boring and it asks for new addons all the time.I don’t like Boyfriend 7.0 very much because of this and that the program needs 30 minutes to start and tounderstand what it should do. It is terrible!

Dreamboy 2.0

Yesterday I upgraded a program which is call boyfriend 2.0. I think this program is very useful and you can create your visual dreamboy with this. When you like to have a boy who is very crazy and unusual you press two keys and when you like to have a special one who is very nice and looks good you must press one special key and say what you like to have into the headset, then the computer calculates your whishes and you get your visual dreamboy. But before the computer creates your boy you get a menu with boys who looks very good and you can search in this menu and when you found your boy you click the mouse and thats it! As well, you can create his charakter whith an addon like 2.5 or another addon, so only girls who know what they want can handle this visual boy.
